A Humane Toilet
No matter how fancy, a clogged toilet is a clogged toilet
This personal project stemmed from a frustrating and often embarrassing issue: toilet clogging. Clogging a toilet is bad enough, but in public, it’s a nightmare—especially with someone waiting outside the stall. Despite differences in toilet design, they all become equally useless when clogged, leaving you helpless until the dreaded moment of confronting those in the queue.
The 'Humane Toilet' is designed specifically for frequent cloggers, restoring a sense of control. Its innovative design detaches the bowl from the ceramic rim with a bespoke flexible joint, and the bowl-to-floor connection uses a flexible connector. These features allow externally induced movement to assist in clearing clogs during flushing.
